mozilla firefox?

I've recently changed from windows internet explorer to this Mozilla Firefox. I need to know when I've found the sight i like on the net, i used to add to favorites, then send icon to desktop. how do i do this with Mozilla? can i do this task on Mozilla? and if so where do i find the add to favorites button?

2. the favorites button always slows down your internet- but it is your internet so go to bookmarks thats all there is
3. When you install a new browser the first time you open it it should ask if you want to import all your favourites, click yes and the deed is done.
4. Click on the Bookmarks file tab, then goto Bookmark This Page. To get the icon on to the desktop click on the Bookmarks file tab, find the bookmark you want, then drag it on to the Desktop.
