What is this new Google Chrome web browser, compaired to firefox and ie?

i have always stuck with Internet explorer because i could never get the hang of firefox, even though i know its advantages, i have also tried safari and the opra one, but i noticed google now has one, it advertises it on their homepage (www.google.co.uk). google has a good reputation, so i wondered if there browser was any good.

2. It's very similar to Safari, but very insecure. It's been proven to be susceptible to carpet bombings on it's first day or release. Aside from that, it spies on you, and Google claims ownership of everything you do while using it. It's in the EULA. Very Sketchy.
