How do I stop Mozilla Firefox from shutting down when I download anything?

Every time I click the Link to download, Mozilla Firefox automatically shuts down. How do i solve this prob???

1. sounds like a virus or i recommend reinstall the Mozilla FireFox 3.0

First,check to see if your have the latest version of firefox 3,then if you do,check your computer for viruses,use a program like AVG,if that doesnt work,try reinstalling firefox clear any cookies,history,cache,etc.If you tried all that and still doesnt work,you can contact modzilla or just use internet explorer
